Lin Honeycutt, 65, has owned The Holiday Light Store and Honeycutt Transmission for the last 20 and 30 years, respectively. Mr. Honeycutt, a motivated guy, was self-employed from the start and has been an entrepreneur his whole adult life. Both businesses perform well in the Raleigh region, and The Holiday Light Store is well-known worldwide.
Mr. Honeycutt has an Associate's Degree in Auto Technicians and was given $10,000 for being named one of America's top ten mechanics. Honeycutt Transmission has won the highest awards from the City of Raleigh for its cutting-edge facilities.
Mr. Honeycutt, a devout Southern Baptist Christian, is happy to have served as a missionary in 20 states and throughout the world. He has been a member of NC Baptist Men for over 30 years and has held numerous church leadership roles with the Raleigh Baptist Association in the previous ten years. He has proclaimed the Word of God in over 20 congregations and constructed houses and churches with his own two hands in four different foreign nations. Mr. Honeycutt is now the Region 4 Recovery Coordinator for the Sandy Creek Baptist Association, which acts as an Operation Site for Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.
He also aided the North Carolina Baptist Men's Association Disaster Relief after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, and again in April 2011 when tornadoes ravaged Wake County.
Lin Honeycutt also loves collecting automobiles, skiing, and growing hay when he is not in the garage, and he enjoys spending time with his 31-year-old wife Cindy, two daughters, and three grandkids. Mr. Honeycutt displays approximately 1 million Christmas lights at his property every Christmas for Raleigh people of all ages to enjoy.
